The Challenge
Making AI useful where the cloud can’t follow.
Teams working in high-stakes settings needed instant access to relevant, reliable information – but can’t depend on stable connectivity, high-performance hardware or generic cloud tools.
Existing large language models were too resource-heavy, too general-purpose and too dependent on connectivity to meet operational needs. The challenge was to provide lightweight, accurate and adaptable AI – built for real-world users across varied and demanding settings.
Our Approach
One framework. Multiple assistants. Built for the real world.
We created FlexLLM – a modular AI framework designed for responsive, low-footprint deployments. At its core is our Intelligent Retrieval-Augmented Generation (IRAG) method, which pairs hybrid retrieval with lightweight, task-specific models to produce accurate, grounded outputs.
From this shared foundation, we delivered three tailored assistants:

An assistant for technical teams working on secure cloud platforms

A field-deployable tool for platform users operating in disconnected environments

A third assistant designed for time-critical use in mobile and low-connectivity scenarios – was integrated with voice capabilities by our US sister company, Aeris LLC, as part of their broader work for a government client.
Each assistant is powered by our adaptable IRAG architecture – combining hybrid retrieval with fine-tuned, efficient models tailored to the task.

The system adapts easily to new roles and use cases without duplicating effort. Aeris LLC is now using the same framework to build further assistants for their platform – demonstrating how FlexLLM enables scalable intelligence beyond its original deployment.
